I've spent a good part of this week tying up some loose ends for Landyn's Halloween costume. She is going to be a monarch butterfly this year. We have a costume party to attend on Saturday for the kiddies. I can't wait to share the pictures with you!

I bought this hope chest at a garage sale the other day. It was 5 dollars. How could I not? The color is hideous and I am thinking of painting it white...OR do I go dark since the rest of my house is dark wood. Where are my crafty ladies at? I need your inspiration. ReplyDeleteIn regards to the trunk, if it's going in a room that is all dark, definitely go dark...but if it's going in say, a child's room with white furniture, definitely go white. I painted an old wood dresser white for my daughter's room and my biggest word of advice is invest in a hand sander to sand the wood before painting. Are you thinking of stenciling something after painting?

ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the haloween pics. We had a costume party for Nik's daycare on the 30th, but we now have a visitation/memorial to attend out of state. But we are excited for Halloween.
